Day 1 ‘3 Days 3 Quotes Challenge’

I would like to thank Abhijith Padmakumar for nominating me for this exciting and interesting challenge. If you ever want to be uplifted or need a boost of confidence please do visit his blog. It’s really fab 😊.

The ‘3 days, 3 quotes challenge’ is where you post one quote each day. It can be any quote you like at all. I will share some quotes that have really touched me this week. I hope that they make you think 💕✨.

The Rules :

1) Thank the person who nominated you

2) Post a quote for 3 consecutive days ( 1 post each day )

3) Nominate 3 bloggers each day

QUOTE OF THE DAY

I love this quote from the quran. It brings to mind the song by Native Deen. When they ask about me, tell them I am near.’

I’m reading ‘Eat Pray Love’ again and I was contemplating on the fact that many people don’t realise that ‘Allah’ who we refer to in Arabic is in fact the same God that we refer to in English. He is One. He also doesn’t live in a celestial throne. He created time and space therefore cannot be placed in a time or space Himself. He is known by His 99 names in Islam which refer to His Divine attributes. If this is new to you, do click the link. It’s all very interesting.

I love this quote in this book by Elizabeth Gilbert.

‘I have always responded with breathless excitement to anyone who has ever said that God does not live in a scripture or in a distant throne in the sky, but instead abides very close to us indeed…I respond with gratitude to anyone who has voyaged to the centre…and then returned to the world with a report for the rest of us that God is an experience of Supreme Love. ‘

What is my response to this? A resounding Haq-e!!

Which literally means ‘Ain’t that the truth?!’

So, my nominees are

1. alinabarac 2. manderleyablaze and 3. B. I look forward to reading your responses, lovely ladies.

I said I’d list 3 new things I’m grateful for on each post.  This will help me on my journey to Enoughism., 3 Things I’m grateful for right now:

1. Quiet time in the morning while (most of the) kids are at school! 😀

2. The local park

3. This lamb balti recipe 😋. Until next time my dears,

Peace and Love,

Sidra

Since you’re here I have a small favour to ask. More people are reading the the7ofus.blog than ever but advertising revenues are non-existent. And unlike many lifestyle magazines, I haven’t put up a paywall – I want to keep my writing as open as I can. So you can see why I need to ask for your help. These posts take a lot of time and hard work to produce. It would be amazing if you could help fund me by donating a coffee a two to keep me going! Please press here to give.
