It’s snowing!

Such a beautiful sight to wake up to in the morning. I’ll never forget the feeling snow gave me as a child.

The way it blanketed well known pathways and rooftops, brightening up the world (and our school day too because we’d most likely get ‘the day’ off! 😆).

Snow angels, snow ball fights and forts and numb fingers and rolling balls that got bigger and bigger. The sound of compacting snow with our boots.

Then the quietness and peace, long after everyone else has got too cold and made their way back inside, as you lie on your back and let the flakes fall on your face, contemplating the vastness and beauty of the (light) night sky….
